drowning is a gift????
no
of course life jackets aren’t a guarantee you won’t drown so it’s always best if someone is watching, like a parent watching their child by the pool or a lifeguard. BUT THEY CAN HELP SAFE LIVES IN A LOT OF CASES!
just imagine falling off a boat and hitting your head. your body won’t react on it’s own and the life jacket will help you keep afloat. or when you’re lost at sea and the shore is a long way? you will get tired of swimming, or get cramps and the life jacket will help you get enough rest to survive.
I have almost died several times due to drowning. if it weren’t for lifeguards or flotation devices I wouldn’t be here. There are times that human survival skills aren’t enough, that’s why these are invented and used! and recommended!
“According to the Coast Guard, in 2006 two-thirds of the people who died in boating deaths drowned, and 90 percent of drowning victims were not wearing a life jacket” - http://adventure.howstuffworks.com/outdoor-activities/water-sports/life-jacket.htm

Fun fact: if you know your feline body language, you’ll notice that the lynx is deferring to the housecat. As far as these two are concerned, the housecat is the higher-ranking cat.

OH MY GOD
